Project Planner / Scheduler – International Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Planner/Scheduler to lead schedule management for large‑scale hydro projects on an international basis. The role involves close collaboration with engineering, procurement, construction, and contracts teams to ensure timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, review, and maintain integrated project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Analyse EPC contractor work programs, baselines, and updates.
• Monitor weekly project progress and track performance through Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Prepare schedule updates, progress reports, S‑curves, and dashboards for senior management.
• Identify schedule risks, critical‑path impacts and propose mitigation measures.
• Conduct time‑impact and delay analyses to support Extension‑of‑Time (EOT) claims.
• Review contractor delay submissions and provide independent assessments.
• Coordinate schedule alignment across all project disciplines.
• Maintain schedule integrity, logic, coding, and resource loading.
• Support contractual and commercial discussions related to time and progress.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• Minimum 20 years of project scheduling experience, including at least 10 years on large hydro projects.
• Strong knowledge of EPC contract structures and project controls practices.
• Proven ability to analyse contractor schedules and challenge assumptions.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 (mandatory).
• Expertise in Earned Value Management reporting.
• Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and project reporting tools.
