Wind Construction Manager (Civil Balance of Plant)

About the role

This project‑based position oversees daily civil construction activities at a wind farm site, covering foundations, roads, hardstands, substations and transmission line works. The manager ensures contractor compliance with designs, schedules, quality and safety standards while providing clear progress reporting and safety leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control daily civil works for foundations, roads, hardstands, substations and transmission lines.
• Track work progress against schedules and take corrective actions for delays.
• Coordinate with technical and author supervision teams and handle “Red Line Mark‑Ups” with contractors.
• Verify compliance with design solutions, as‑built documentation, material certifications and equipment acceptance.
• Participate in Permit‑to‑Work meetings, sign off PTWs and ensure safety leadership on site.
• Provide daily progress reports in coordination with contractors.
• Validate volumes, quality and cost estimates of completed works.
• Maintain site documentation according to instructions and sign off completed works.

Required profile

• Licensed Civil Engineer.
• 5–10 years of construction engineering experience, preferably in power production plants.
• Proven experience supervising civil works such as foundations, roads, hardstands, substations and transmission line civil works.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, quality control standards and site documentation.
• Experience working with EPC contractors, subcontractors and technical supervision teams.
• Familiarity with Permit‑to‑Work systems, construction schedules and progress reporting.
• Solid understanding of HSE requirements and ability to demonstrate safety leadership.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
