Project Manager (Pre-Construction)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the pre‑construction phase of commercial building projects. Reporting to the Bid Submissions Manager, you will oversee tender preparation from RFQ review through to handover for construction delivery, ensuring accurate scope, pricing and risk identification.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end pre‑construction and bid submission processes for multiple commercial projects.
• Review RFQs, prepare statements of work, respond to RFIs and conduct trade comparisons.
• Perform cost forecasting, value management and commercial analysis to optimise project profitability.
• Engage early with subcontractors and consultants and coordinate design and shop‑drawing reviews.
• Maintain strict timelines and documentation while supporting bid compliance.

Required profile

• 5–10+ years of project management experience in commercial construction.
• Qualification in Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong background with Australian construction projects (off‑shore experience a plus).
• Experience in sectors such as childcare, schools, retail or office buildings.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Project.
• Advanced use of MS Office.
• Experience with construction‑specific PM software such as Procore.
