Project Director

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Director to lead multiple highly complex, mission‑critical projects that support our business initiatives. The role requires overseeing several high‑risk projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet all business requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage more than one complex or high‑risk project and its team concurrently.
• Develop and manage technical and business processes to meet cost‑efficient targets.
• Define team roles, set performance objectives, provide coaching, and evaluate performance.
• Coordinate work‑group plans to ensure alignment with overall project goals.
• Raise and resolve project issues at appropriate levels and keep stakeholders informed.
• Collaborate with business users to assess feasibility, define requirements, and establish timelines.
• Direct analysis and design to ensure solutions satisfy management and business needs.
• Conduct project reviews to maintain quality and compliance with standards and regulations.
• Plan and manage staff development and career progression.
• Maintain up‑to‑date technical expertise and contribute to Project Management standards.
• Provide Project Management training when required.
• Anticipate, manage, and mitigate project risks.
• Manage communication among stakeholders, vendors, and third‑party partners.

Required profile

• Relevant Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 10 years of experience in application systems design, analysis, development, and maintenance involving mainframe, midrange, or micro‑computer systems.
• Exposure to banking operations.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Experience with cloud‑based platforms.
