Production Operator – Semiconductor Test Equipment

About the role

The Production Operator will operate automated test equipment for II‑VI Laser Enterprise, ensuring high productivity, quality, and efficiency in a semiconductor clean‑room environment. This position is fully onsite and reports to the production supervisor.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain automated test equipment for laser and semiconductor products.
• Meet or exceed productivity, quality, efficiency, cycle‑time, and KPI targets.
• Follow clean‑room protocols and safety procedures, including MSDS handling.
• Document production data and report any equipment issues.
• Assist in training and leading small production teams when required.

Required profile

• College level education or a 2‑year technical course graduate.
• 2‑3 years experience in semiconductor assembly, burn‑in or test production.
• Hands‑on attitude, initiative, and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Excellent manual dexterity and vision (glasses acceptable, no contact lenses).
• Ability to stand for long periods and adapt to changing daily activities.

Required skills
