Procurement Officer

About the role

The Procurement Officer will support the company's purchasing activities by managing requisitions, processing orders, and maintaining supplier relationships. This role works closely with internal teams to ensure timely and cost‑effective acquisition of goods and services.

Key responsibilities

• Gather purchase requisitions and specifications from internal departments and provide feedback.
• Process purchase orders and ensure accurate documentation in line with company policy.
• Identify potential suppliers, obtain quotes, and assist in negotiations of terms, prices, and conditions.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
• Support sourcing strategies and supplier diversification initiatives.
• Collaborate with inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Compile and analyze procurement data to highlight spending trends and cost‑saving opportunities.
• Identify and implement process improvements for procurement efficiency.
• Maintain organized records of contracts, supplier communications, and procurement activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• At least two years of experience in procurement or purchasing, including supervisory responsibilities.
• Basic understanding of procurement principles, sourcing strategies, and supplier management.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within cross‑functional teams and manage multiple tasks.
