Procurement Buyer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Procurement Buyer to manage purchase requisitions, source suppliers and ensure timely delivery of goods for Coherent Corp. The role involves close collaboration with internal teams and external vendors to support our operational needs.

Key responsibilities

• Review and convert purchase requests from various departments into accurate purchase orders.
• Identify, evaluate and select potential suppliers, request quotations and compare offers.
• Negotiate prices, terms, lead times and payment conditions to achieve cost savings.
• Release purchase orders in line with company policies and monitor order fulfillment.
• Maintain regular communication with suppliers, resolve delays, quality issues or order discrepancies.
• Track supplier performance, prepare spending and savings reports, and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with finance, warehouse, logistics and requestors to keep stakeholders informed about order status.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (field not specified).
• 2 to 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain or purchasing.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and decision‑making abilities.
• Knowledge of procurement processes, sourcing strategies and business ethics.

Required skills

• ERP/Procurement systems experience (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
