Process Engineer – FBG

About the role

The Process Engineer – FBG will drive continuous improvement of yield, efficiency, and lean flow within Coherent's manufacturing environment. You will lead technology transfers, resolve line issues, and support top‑management priorities to sustain production demands.

Key responsibilities

• Implement process improvements to increase yield and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
• Manage product, equipment, and process transfers, ensuring timely and smooth releases.
• Diagnose and resolve operational line issues to meet customer requirements.
• Develop and maintain procedures, specifications, and continuous‑improvement documentation.
• Lead training, certification, and development programs for operators and technicians.
• Support engineering change reviews, temporary deviations, and process qualification reviews in line with Coherent standards.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Electronics Engineering (or Physics, Electrical, related fields).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in semiconductor, electronics/optoelectronics, or fiber‑optics manufacturing.
• Proven ability to calculate and interpret yield, OEE, and defect Pareto data.
• Experience creating SPC charts and continuous‑improvement plans.
