Process Engineer 1

About the role

As a Process Engineer 1 you will drive productivity improvements by developing, testing, and implementing new procedures across the supply chain. You will own process documentation, monitor performance metrics, and provide technical guidance to technicians.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain process standards, work instructions, specifications, OCAP, FMEA, and TCN documents.
• Monitor yield, impact, and reliability metrics to ensure processes meet capacity and quality targets.
• Analyze operational issues using RCA, CAPAR, 8D, 7QC tools and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Advanced Engineering, Quality Engineering, and Procurement on technology adoption and supplier performance.
• Lead technical aspects of new product launches and support warehouse initiatives.
• Provide guidance to technicians during sustaining and evaluation activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Materials Science, Physics, or related engineering discipline.
• Hands‑on experience in product and process engineering, preferably with major OEMs.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and creative thinking abilities.
• Proficiency in technical writing and presentation.

Required skills

• Statistical Process Control (SPC) and process capability analysis.
• Design of Experiments (DOE) – full factorial, fractional factorial, Taguchi, ANOVA, Shainin.
• Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), control plans, OCAP, error‑proofing.
• Use of Minitab and other statistical tools.
• Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and ISO/IMS standards.
• Problem‑solving methodologies: PDCA, DMAIC, 8D, 7QC, RCA, CAPAR.
• Process expertise in glass, board, buffing, sanding, anodizing, PVD, and radio‑frequency processes.
• Project, change, and risk management fundamentals.
