Principal (Level 3) – Rural School Leadership

About the role

The Principal (Level 3) will lead Winton State School, a Prep to Year 12 rural campus in Central Queensland. This senior leadership role is responsible for fostering a culture of excellence, innovation and inclusion while ensuring high‑quality learning outcomes for all students.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, articulate and embed a shared educational vision focused on student achievement.
• Lead and inspire staff, promoting professional growth and lifelong learning.
• Uphold ethical, values‑based principals and embed socially just practices throughout school life.
• Set and monitor high performance standards for both students and staff.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with local businesses, council and government agencies.
• Ensure equitable access to learning experiences comparable to those in larger cities.

Required profile

• Demonstrated senior leadership experience in an educational setting, preferably in a remote or regional school.
• Strong commitment to student success, community engagement and inclusive practice.
• Ability to collaborate, communicate effectively and inspire diverse stakeholders.
