PR & Media Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a proactive PR & Media Specialist to raise brand awareness and strengthen our reputation within the financial services sector. Working remotely, you will create and execute public‑relations campaigns that position the company and its executives as trusted voices.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement PR and media outreach strategies to increase visibility and credibility.
• Write, edit, and distribute press releases, media advisories and other communication materials.
• Research, identify and pitch story ideas to journalists, editors, podcast hosts and other media professionals.
• Secure placements in financial publications, business news outlets, trade magazines, podcasts and newsletters.
• Coordinate podcast interviews, media interviews and speaking engagements for company leaders.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors and media contacts; maintain media lists and outreach databases.
• Collaborate with internal teams to surface newsworthy announcements, product launches and industry insights.
• Monitor coverage, prepare performance reports and ensure all communications align with brand and compliance guidelines.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in public relations, media relations or corporate communications.
• Proven track record of securing media coverage through strategic outreach.
• Experience pitching to financial, business or professional publications.
• Existing relationships with journalists, editors or podcast producers (highly preferred).
• Excellent writing, editing and storytelling abilities.
• Strong organizational and project‑management skills, able to handle multiple campaigns simultaneously.
• Fluent English communication, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
