About the role
The Power Plant Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of generator sets within an industrial power plant. The role involves daily inspections, continuous monitoring, and coordination with the power distribution network to ensure reliable electricity supply.
Key responsibilities
- Operate Caterpillar and Cummins generator sets according to standard procedures.
- Conduct daily routine inspections of unit operation and condition.
- Monitor unit performance hourly and transmit hourly load data.
- Perform minor troubleshooting of engine issues and electrical wiring connections.
- Maintain equipment in good condition through preventive and maintenance services.
- Coordinate communication with the power distributor line and report plant troubles.
