Power BI Visualization Engineer

About the role

Advanced Energy is seeking a highly skilled Visualization Engineer to design, build, and optimize high‑performance Power BI dashboards that drive decision‑making across its semiconductor and industrial businesses. The role blends deep technical expertise with strong storytelling to deliver business‑ready analytical experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design and engineer executive‑level Power BI dashboards using advanced features such as drill‑throughs, tooltips, bookmarks, and dynamic measures.
• Establish visual standards, reusable templates, and layout patterns for scalable reporting.
• Create and tune semantic models using dimensional and star‑schema designs, authoring complex DAX measures for performance and accuracy.
• Apply performance‑optimization techniques including aggregations, incremental refresh, composite models, and cardinality reduction.
• Write, review, and optimize complex SQL queries with joins, CTEs, and window functions.
• Collaborate with data‑engineering teams to ensure source data structures support analytics needs.
• Engage directly with business stakeholders to translate requirements into intuitive visual insights.

Required profile

• Proven experience building high‑performance Power BI solutions.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, DAX, and performance tuning.
• Expertise in complex SQL query development.
• Ability to work closely with business users and data‑engineering partners.
• Exposure to machine‑learning or data‑science initiatives is a plus.
