Plant & Equipment Manager

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a Plant & Equipment Manager for its construction business in the Philippines. The role oversees the coordination, planning and management of the staging area, precast fabrication and plant equipment, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, safety and quality standards. Reporting to the Construction Manager, the manager will lead the plant team to support on‑site assembly programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and monitor the plant’s production plan to meet on‑site assembly requirements.
• Approve manufacturing procedures, including mould design, reinforcement placement, curing systems and post‑tensioning methods.
• Ensure prefabricated elements meet technical specifications, geometric tolerances and concrete strength.
• Lead the plant team comprising superintendents, quality engineers, technical staff and operators.
• Oversee procurement, maintenance and availability of plant equipment and heavy machinery such as gantry cranes and handling equipment.
• Design and optimise storage area operations, including inventory control of critical materials.
• Coordinate with the Construction Manager and precast plant chief to prevent material bottlenecks.
• Manage internal and external transport logistics for heavy vehicles and delivery routes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in marine and/or precast yard engineering with equipment management exposure.
• Strong knowledge of heavy construction plant, equipment and lifting systems used in precast segmental bridge construction.
• Relevant certifications in marine engineering or equipment management are an advantage.
• Proven leadership, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
