Plant Engineer – Wind Power (Entry Level)

About the role

As a Plant Engineer for wind power in Libmanan, you will be responsible for the technical operation, maintenance and reliability of wind turbine generators (WTGs) and balance‑of‑plant (BOP) systems. You will work closely with the Plant Supervisor, technicians, contractors and OEMs to ensure safe, cost‑effective performance while complying with all regulatory, safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance of WTGs, substations and BOP equipment.
• Provide technical guidance for complex mechanical, electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting.
• Review and approve maintenance plans, checklists and service procedures.
• Manage contractors during major corrective works and verify compliance with EHS protocols.
• Perform root‑cause analysis of turbine faults and recommend design improvements or retrofits.
• Support SCADA data analysis, downtime categorisation and KPI reporting (availability, reliability, energy yield).
• Ensure strict adherence to site safety procedures and coordinate environmental compliance with DENR.
• Prepare technical reports, RCA documentation and corrective‑action plans, and maintain accurate CMMS records.

Required profile

• Entry‑level (junior) with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Knowledge of IEC 61400, Philippine Grid Code and RA 7920 standards.
• Ability to read technical drawings, electrical schematics and hydraulic diagrams.
• Leadership and effective communication skills for contractor management.
• Safety‑first mindset with experience in LOTO, high‑voltage switching and fall protection.
