Plant Accountant

About the role

Coherent Philippines is seeking a Plant Accountant to join its manufacturing finance team. The role supports month‑end close, product costing, inventory valuation and provides analytical insight for management decisions in a dynamic, hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, examine and analyze accounting records, financial statements and reports for accuracy and compliance.
• Assist with month‑end close, management reporting, KPI tracking, project reporting and ad‑hoc financial analysis.
• Own product costing, inventory valuation and production reporting; perform COGS variance and inventory variance analysis.
• Support the annual audit preparation and financial forecasting activities.
• Record, account for and capitalize capital projects; maintain fixed‑asset sub‑ledger and perform related reconciliations.
• Execute monthly inventory reconciliations, investigate variances and facilitate physical counts.
• Perform account reconciliations, journal entries and month‑end adjustments as needed.
• Undertake any additional ad‑hoc duties required by the finance team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related field; CPA preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Oracle, SAP or other ERP systems.
• Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel.
• Experience in inventory management and product costing.
• Ability to analyze financial data and produce accurate reports.
