Physician Medical Biller

About the role

UnifyCX is seeking detail‑oriented Physician Medical Billers to join a motivated team. In this position you will manage the full lifecycle of physician claims, ensuring accurate submission, compliance, and timely reimbursement.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and submit electronic and paper physician claims, including CMS‑1500 (HCFA) forms.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits before claim submission.
• Identify and correct claim errors to reduce denials and rework.
• Manage accounts receivable, including denial follow‑up, claim corrections, resubmissions, and payment reconciliation using EOBs/ERAs.
• Prepare and submit insurance appeals with supporting documentation.
• Communicate with providers, payers, and patients to resolve billing issues.
• Work across multiple billing platforms while maintaining accuracy and productivity.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year and 6 months of physician medical billing experience.
• Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD‑10, and HCPCS coding.
• Experience with CMS‑1500 (HCFA) claims and denial management.
• Ability to meet payer timely filing requirements and deadlines.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
