Occupational Health Nurse

About the role

The Occupational Health Nurse provides direct patient care in an outpatient or hospital setting while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This role involves triaging patients, supporting physicians during procedures, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver quality patient care in line with physician‑set standards.
• Educate patients in person or via phone on care plans.
• Adhere to OSHA, FDA, and HIPAA compliance throughout all processes.
• Secure patient consent, maintain confidentiality, and manage health records.
• Prepare consultation rooms, verify equipment, and report defects.
• Monitor supplies, ensure cleanliness, and manage room readiness.
• Use clinic information system to queue patients and triage based on urgency.
• Record vital signs, chief complaints, and assist physicians during examinations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and a current PRC Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• At least 2 years of experience in an outpatient or hospital environment.
• OHN certification, CPR, ACLS, and BCLS certifications.
• Knowledge of OSHA, FDA, and HIPAA regulations.
• Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks, and communicate effectively.
