People Operations Specialist

About the role

The People Operations Specialist supports Unilever’s HR function by managing employee data in Workday and ensuring a smooth employee experience from onboarding through exit. You will act as the first‑line data expert, delivering accurate and timely HR transactions across multiple markets.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain employee profiles in Workday during onboarding, promotions, transfers and exits.
• Generate business letters, contracts and support joiner checklist completion.
• Coordinate with in‑market partners to audit and correct Workday data, including merit, bonus, and cost‑centre information.
• Collaborate with HRIT, Benefits and Payroll teams to ensure compensation changes flow correctly into payroll systems.
• Execute exit transactions, manage severance administration and verify clearance checklists.
• Maintain integration between JML processes and Workday, flagging manual triggers when needed.
• Update SOPs and knowledge‑base articles for the scope of work.
• Produce standard HR reports, perform basic data analysis and support data validation activities with country partners.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in customer service, People Experience, HR advisory or live‑chat support, ideally within an HR context.
• Understanding of HR processes and policies, with experience in regional or multi‑country operations.
