About the role
Dayforce is seeking a Managed Services Payroll Tax Analyst to ensure accurate and compliant payroll tax processing for its clients. The role serves as a key point of contact, reviewing audits, handling adjustments, and staying current with tax regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to client inquiries via the CRM system and resolve issues according to team guidelines.
- Audit payroll commits to verify correct employee tax withholdings.
- Process payroll tax adjustments in partnership with customers and internal payroll teams.
- Conduct monthly wage‑rate audits and review W‑4 exemptions for reasonableness.
- Assist clients with pre‑funding requests for tax agencies and manage IRS Form 2808 lock‑in letters.
- Perform quarterly and year‑end tax balancing, including W‑2 and W‑2C reconciliation.
- Review tax code fallouts weekly, register accounts with agencies, and reconcile withheld deposits.
- Handle amendment requests and ensure timely processing of W‑2/W‑2C forms.
Required profile
- 3+ years (5+ preferred) experience in payroll tax, HR, or payroll administration within a high‑volume, multi‑state environment.
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in business, tax, HR or related field preferred.
- FPC or CPP certification required or commitment to obtain within two years.
Required skills
- Proficiency with a CRM tool for client communication and case management.
