Patient Onboarding Specialist

About the role

The Patient Onboarding Specialist guides newly registered patients from enrollment to active status, ensuring a smooth transition and rapid adoption of reporting tools. This role directly influences patient retention, compliance, and the overall health of the client’s patient pipeline.

Key responsibilities

• Own the patient journey from registration through PMC assignment to Active status, compressing the timeline wherever possible.
• Identify and flag patients showing hesitation or uncertainty during early onboarding.
• Use the client’s onboarding workflow, content, and scripting to educate patients about services and technology.
• Segment patients into ready‑now versus those needing continued engagement and prioritize outreach accordingly.
• Conduct proactive outreach (calls, texts) to re‑engage hesitant patients and document all interactions in the CRM.
• Present the appropriate reporting method – aMed device, client app, or text‑based confirmation – based on patient preference.
• Coordinate closely with Personal Client Coordinators (PMCs) and hand off patients in the CRM.
• Escalate patient‑specific issues such as insurance or documentation questions to supervisors.

Required profile

• Experience with patient onboarding or similar customer‑facing processes.
• Strong communication skills for phone and text interactions.
• Attention to detail in documenting outreach and patient concerns.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
