Package Engineer – Packaging Development & Commercialization

About the role

You will play a pivotal role in bringing new Avon products to market by leading packaging development and commercialization. Working within a cross‑functional team, you will ensure packaging solutions meet quality, cost and performance targets while supporting smooth manufacturability.

Key responsibilities

• Support end‑to‑end development and commercialization of packaging components for assigned product categories.
• Manage component specifications, bills of materials (BOM) and maintain accurate product data.
• Partner with suppliers and contract manufacturers to deliver projects on time and to required standards.
• Contribute to cost‑saving initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
• Drive innovation and sustainability in packaging, including waste reduction and resource conservation.

Required profile

• Approximately 5 years of experience in FMCG supply chain, packaging development or product commercialization.
• Strong problem‑solving ability to resolve technical packaging challenges.
• Proactive attitude toward continuous improvement and cost optimisation.
• Excellent collaboration and stakeholder‑management skills across cross‑functional teams.
• Commitment to quality, safety and delivering results.

Required skills

• Experience managing packaging specifications, BOMs and product documentation.
• Ability to work with suppliers, vendors or contract manufacturers.
• Awareness of sustainable packaging practices and environmentally friendly design.
