Operator I – Production Line

About the role

The Operator I works on a manufacturing line at Microchip Technology, ensuring smooth production flow and high product quality. The role involves shift‑based work, adherence to safety and quality standards, and collaboration with incoming and outgoing shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Perform 6S activities before and after each shift.
• Follow operational specifications and SOPs for the assigned area.
• Hand‑off line status to the next shift and keep certification badges up to date.
• Maintain product quality, aiming for zero lot rejection.
• Operate assigned machines, monitor downtime, lot history, and any splitting/merging transactions in real time.
• Escalate any line problems to the supervisor or lead operator.
• Ensure proper set‑up and isolation of stations, addressing minor machine issues.
• Report absences to the immediate supervisor.
• Participate in the company’s suggestion programs and strictly follow all rules and regulations.
