Operator I

About the role

We are seeking an Operator I to join Microchip Technology’s manufacturing team. The role supports production of semiconductor components, ensuring smooth operation of equipment and adherence to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform 6S activities before and after each shift, either manually or using semi‑automatic tools.
• Monitor process parameters through visual checks, statistical process control (SPC) and sampling tests according to specifications.
• Record lot quantities, categorize rejected parts, and complete computer transactions for the assigned station.
• Identify and report any safety, quality or output issues that arise during the shift.
• Follow standard operating procedures, system flows and documentation requirements.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED; minimum age 18.
• Ability to multitask with strong attention to detail.
• Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Regular and predictable attendance; willingness to wear required protective equipment.

Required skills

• Basic computer operation.
• Understanding of 6S lean methodology.
• Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) monitoring.
