Online ESL Teacher – Japanese Adult Students

About the role

We are looking for a passionate ESL teacher to deliver one‑on‑one English lessons to adult Japanese learners. The position is fully remote, allowing you to work from home while helping students improve their conversational skills and assessment results.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct 25‑minute one‑on‑one conversational and assessment‑based classes.
• Prepare and adapt lesson materials for all CEFR levels, from beginner to advanced.
• Track student progress and provide feedback after each session.
• Manage your assigned shift schedule and be ready to cover classes for absent teachers.
• Maintain a professional, quiet, and well‑lit teaching environment.

Required profile

• Minimum 3‑year National Diploma.
• Completed accredited 120‑hour TEFL certificate or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of ESL teaching experience.
• Ability to teach across all proficiency levels.
• Energetic, student‑focused, and comfortable teaching online.
• Responsive to schedule changes and able to manage time effectively.

Required skills

• Proficiency with online teaching platforms and video‑conferencing tools.
• Reliable computer (≥2 GHz CPU, 4‑core, 8 GB RAM) and high‑speed fibre internet (≥20 Mbps upload/download).
• Webcam, noise‑cancelling headset, and a quiet, private teaching space.
