Museum Guide and Custodian

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Museum Guide and Custodian to join the Quezon City Tourism Department. In this role you will be the face of the museum, leading visitors through our collections and ensuring the galleries are well‑maintained.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct guided tours for scheduled and walk‑in visitors, delivering engaging storytelling.
• Digitally register walk‑in guests and maintain accurate visitor records.
• Prepare opening and closing reports on the condition of galleries, facilities and exhibits, and report any maintenance or security issues.
• Assist in planning and implementing museum programs and activities.
• Write and update tour scripts and interpretive materials.
• Train and support museum tour guide interns to ensure consistent service standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, History, Museum Studies, Education, Journalism, Broadcast Communication or a related field.
• Excellent communication, public speaking and storytelling abilities.
• Friendly, service‑oriented personality with the ability to connect with diverse audiences.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and problem‑solving skills.
• Passion for history, culture, heritage and public service.
• Knowledge of Quezon City and Philippine history is an advantage.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Experience in museum work, tour guiding or related customer‑service roles is a plus.
