Medical Review Triage Physician

About the role

The Medical Review Triage Physician is responsible for reviewing safety reports, performing medical triage, and ensuring appropriate case prioritisation within a pharmacovigilance environment. The role supports the Triage Team with clinical assessments, query resolution and literature safety evaluation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform medical triage of safety reports, determine handling priority and identify cases needing further assessment.
• Review clinical information, seriousness assessments and provide feedback to associates.
• Respond to medical queries related to case triage, including clinical information, seriousness criteria and medical coding.
• Assess literature articles for safety relevance and escalate pertinent findings.
• Abide by Quality Management System standards, submit attendance, timesheets and ensure documentation compliance.
• Participate in team meetings, coordinate with other workflows and execute additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of professional experience, including 1 year of clinical work and 1 year of medical case review or triage in pharmacovigilance.
• Excellent oral and written English communication and presentation skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high‑quality work under deadlines.
• Valid professional medical licence to practice locally.

Required skills

• Proficient in MS Office.
• Medical coding.
