Medical Information Specialist I (Hybrid & Night Shift)

About the role

As a Medical Information Specialist I you will join the PPD clinical research team at Thermo Fisher Scientific, providing technical and medical information to customers and handling adverse event and product complaint intake. The position operates on a hybrid schedule with night‑shift coverage, supporting groundbreaking studies that improve patients’ lives.

Key responsibilities

• Respond accurately to technical and medical inquiries received via phone, email, internet or mail.
• Process fulfillments and deliver clinical‑trial information, including after‑hours on‑call support.
• Analyze caller questions, formulate concise responses using client‑approved resources, and record all interactions in the appropriate databases.
• Identify, record and triage adverse events and product complaints in line with organizational, client and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of project policies, SOPs, protocols, GCPs and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with internal and external client contacts, including senior management, to resolve complex inquiries.
• Research medical literature and draft evidence‑based responses as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (or relevant health‑care professional qualification where required).
• 0‑2 years of relevant experience in medical information or related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in a second language may be required.
• Strong interpersonal abilities and capacity to work independently or as part of a team.
• Effective organizational and time‑management skills, with a professional demeanor in challenging situations.
