Medical Advisor – Scientific Partnerships & Training

About the role

AstraZeneca is seeking a Medical Advisor to support local medical requirements for brand material and to influence the marketing direction with scientific expertise. You will collaborate with senior colleagues and act as a bridge between clinical practice and commercial strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop scientific partnerships with healthcare professionals, advanced practice providers, primary care physicians, and other decision makers.
• Lead and support disease‑education programmes and communicate product information, including guideline implementation.
• Design and deliver training sessions that enhance sales representatives’ scientific knowledge.
• Capture scientific insights from clinical leaders to shape brand strategies and objectives.
• Support the promotional speaker programme by training speakers and serving as a speaker yourself.
• Participate in Key Account Management meetings at local and community healthcare institutions.
• Serve as the product expert for the assigned therapeutic area, maintaining up‑to‑date knowledge at all times.

Required profile

• Scientific education background – degree, master’s or PhD from a top university, or a qualified medical doctor.
• Clinical experience with a strong interest in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.
• Commitment to continuously develop scientific expertise across medical affairs and regulatory areas.
