Mechanical Design Engineer – 3D Modeling & Project Lead

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a leading metal‑industry company in Zaragoza. You will be responsible for delivering complete mechanical projects from concept to production, ensuring they meet client specifications and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop full mechanical projects according to client specifications.
• Create 3D models and detailed designs using SolidWorks.
• Produce complete technical documentation, including manufacturing and assembly drawings, BOMs, and material selection.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, purchasing, and assembly departments to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor project timelines, milestones, and technical progress throughout all phases.
• Identify and implement technical solutions to optimise design and production processes.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in mechanical design using SolidWorks.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing drawings, mechanical assemblies and technical documentation.
• Ability to manage projects independently and meet deadlines.
