Material Planning Specialist

About the role

The Material Planning Specialist will support AUMOVIO’s supply chain by ensuring raw material availability, driving cost‑reduction projects, and maintaining optimal inventory levels for new product launches and ongoing production.

Key responsibilities

• Implement cost‑reduction projects according to schedule.
• Generate material shortage alerts and coordinate corrective actions with relevant teams.
• Maintain inventory, logistics cost, and supplier delivery performance within target thresholds.
• Secure raw‑material supply for ADAS new‑product launches, engaging from early gate phases through SOP.
• Identify and qualify second‑source suppliers for critical materials.
• Collaborate with Production Planning and Focus Factory Managers to align material availability with production plans.
• Utilize SAP advanced planning tools to balance service level, inventory, and resource utilization while ensuring master‑data accuracy.
• Work closely with suppliers and BU SCM to prevent line‑down situations.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science, preferably in Engineering or Accounting.
• Minimum 3 years experience in material and inventory management.
• Advanced knowledge of production planning and warehouse management.
• Proven experience with new‑product launches and production start‑ups.
• Hands‑on experience handling material and production planning processes.

Required skills

• SAP R/3 modules: Production Planning (PP), Warehouse Management (WM), Material Management (MM), Inventory Management (IM).
• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
