Manager, Wind Construction (Electrical Balance of Plant)

About the role

This site‑based position leads the Electrical Balance of Plant (BOP) construction activities for a utility‑scale wind farm in the Philippines. The manager oversees cabling, substation, and transmission line works, coordinates with contractors, utilities and grid operators, and ensures compliance with QA/QC, safety, schedule and risk requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control BOP contractor activities for cabling, substation and transmission line installation.
• Coordinate communications with contractors, authorities and grid operators for all electrical scope matters.
• Lead a site‑based team of Quality Controllers and Electrical Engineers.
• Oversee Grid Connection Agreements and manage related grid operator interfaces.
• Develop and implement Contract Management Plans for relevant contractors.
• Ensure delivery of all contractor work to specifications and schedule.
• Maintain daily logs for contractual reference and verify formal acceptances of deliveries.
• Validate adherence to the Basis for Design and approve supplier quality plans.
• Support risk management, environmental protection measures and permit to work processes.
• Provide daily progress reports, accept work progress on site and sign off completed works.
• Demonstrate safety leadership in toolbox talks, inductions and risk assessments.

Required profile

• Licensed Electrical Engineer.
• Minimum 5 years of construction engineering experience in power generation projects.
• Prior experience in wind power projects is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the Philippine Grid Code.
