Maintenance Worker

About the role

The Maintenance Worker is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and safety of all facilities, equipment, and building structures. This role involves routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and prompt repairs to keep the workplace functional and compliant with safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of premises, facilities, and mechanical equipment to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
• Perform preventive maintenance on machinery, tools, electrical systems, plumbing, and building structures.
• Handle basic repairs such as fixing leaks, replacing light fixtures, painting, carpentry, and minor electrical work.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and operational issues and implement corrective actions.
• Repair machines, equipment, furniture, and structures to maintain functionality and safety.
• Operate and maintain maintenance tools and equipment safely.
• Coordinate with contractors and service providers for major repairs or installations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas, tools, and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and company policies.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair situations.
• Keep accurate records of work performed, repairs completed, and materials used.
• Assist in monitoring inventory of maintenance supplies and recommend replenishment.

Required profile

• Proven maintenance experience.
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree.
• Strong organizational and follow‑up skills with an eye for detail.
• Ability to work independently and maintain focus.
• Professional presentation and attitude.
• Willingness to perform field work.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools (e.g., hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments and electronic testing devices.
• Capability to disassemble and reassemble machines or equipment to replace defective parts.
