Legal Specialist – Field Lawyer for EV Projects (Davao)

About the role

The Legal Specialist will act as the company’s on‑site legal representative, supporting EV charger deployments, real estate acquisitions, and construction partnerships across Davao and surrounding regions. After an initial six‑month training period in Manila, the role is permanently based in Davao, requiring frequent interaction with government agencies, contractors, and local communities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with agencies such as DOE, DENR, HLURB, DPWH, and LGUs to obtain permits, certifications, and approvals.
• Provide on‑site legal support for EV charger installations, property purchases, and construction projects, ensuring compliance with energy, environmental, and building regulations.
• Review, draft, and negotiate contracts including supplier agreements, site leases, and construction service agreements.
• Prepare pleadings, position papers, and legal opinions for labor disputes and regulatory matters, and support representation before SENA and NLRC.
• Monitor adherence to internal policies and Philippine legal provisions during field operations.
• Liaise directly with contractors, partner companies, and local government units to resolve legal and regulatory issues promptly.
• Collaborate with the Vietnam Legal Team on cross‑border compliance and joint‑venture matters when required.

Required profile

• LL.B. or J.D. degree; bar membership preferred but not mandatory for paralegal‑level candidates.
• 3–5 years of experience in legal practice, corporate law, compliance, or regulatory work.
• Strong interest in fieldwork and comfort working outside a traditional office setting.
• Familiarity with Philippine government permitting processes and regulatory compliance for energy, real estate, and construction projects.
• Experience in contract review, drafting, and basic dispute resolution.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities for stakeholder coordination.
• Willingness to complete a six‑month training period in Manila before permanent deployment to Davao.
