Legal Officer

About the role

E88 Ventures is rapidly expanding its electric‑motorcycle, battery‑swapping, and B2B partnership operations. To support this growth, the Legal Officer will build and manage the company’s legal and governance framework, ensuring contracts, corporate records, data‑privacy obligations, and regulatory intelligence are handled efficiently and accurately.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end contract lifecycle management across all agreement types and maintain the central Contract Repository.
• Maintain corporate books, board resolutions, Secretary’s Certificates, and coordinate SEC/BIR reporting obligations.
• Serve as the internal point of contact for data‑privacy, liaise with external counsel, and lead the rollout of the privacy program.
• Lead regulatory watch activities, keep the Regulatory Watch Log up to date, and deliver quarterly regulatory briefs to the Management Committee.
• Maintain the Legal Risk Register, support external counsel engagements, and provide legal operations support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Legal Management, Political Science, AB Law, Business Administration, or a related field; law school enrollment or graduation is a plus.
• 3‑5 years of experience in paralegal, legal operations, corporate governance, compliance, or a similar role.
• Demonstrated exposure to contract management, corporate secretarial functions, or data‑privacy compliance.
• Working knowledge of Philippine corporate law, contract law fundamentals, and the Data Privacy Act.
• Experience in a startup or fast‑scaling environment is strongly preferred.

Required skills

• High proficiency in Google Workspace.
• Experience with document management tools.
