Legal Officer

About the role

The Legal Officer will support the Philippine Football Federation (PFF) by providing legal advice, ensuring compliance with football and governmental regulations, and safeguarding the organization’s interests. This role combines legal research, contract management, and compliance oversight in a dynamic sports environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and opinions to PFF officials.
• Monitor dispute‑resolution processes and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Conduct legal research and respond promptly to issues or concerns.
• Review, draft, and manage contracts, memoranda, office orders, and other corporate documents.
• Maintain the integrity and security of all legal documentation.
• Ensure transactions, policies, and procedures are legally binding and enforceable.
• Develop, improve, and uphold company policies, guidelines, and procedures.
• Act as the primary liaison with external counsel and government agencies.
• Serve as compliance officer for FIFA, APC, and other relevant regulations.
• Travel as required, including outside Metro Manila or the Philippines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Business Studies, Administration, Legal Management, Secretarial, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant legal or paralegal experience (preferred).
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Computer proficient, especially with Microsoft Office.
