Legal Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Legal Manager to lead our internal legal affairs, build robust legal systems and ensure compliance across all company activities. The role involves providing legal guidance for business decisions and managing contractual processes within the automotive sector.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the company’s legal framework, including contracts, litigation, registrations, changes, and intellectual property.
• Provide legal opinions and recommendations to support business decisions.
• Draft, review, revise, and negotiate a variety of legal documents and contracts, and oversee contract management policies and archiving.
• Offer legal advice and regular training to internal departments.
• Assist in resolving legal disputes, formulate litigation and arbitration strategies, and manage related cases.
• Engage, manage, and evaluate external law firms and coordinate with external counsel.
• Handle other daily legal tasks and any additional assignments as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in law or higher, with a valid lawyer qualification certificate.
• At least 2 years of legal experience, including work as a lawyer in a law firm and as an in‑house counsel.
• Relevant experience in the automotive industry and familiarity with its specific regulations.
• Proficiency in the local language and English for professional communication.
• Ability to independently analyze risks and provide actionable legal suggestions.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with internal teams, external entities, and lawyers.
• Experience working for a Chinese company is considered a plus.
