Learning & Development Manager

About the role

The Learning & Development Manager will lead plant‑wide training and capability initiatives for a manufacturing site in Luzon. This position is essential for building a skilled, safe, and future‑ready workforce across operations, maintenance, quality, and support functions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the L&D strategy covering technical, behavioural, leadership, digital, and compliance training.
• Conduct Training Needs Analysis, map competencies, and develop technical curricula.
• Ensure 100% compliance with mandatory safety and regulatory training (ISO/DOLE).
• Administer the LMS, maintain training records, and prepare audit‑ready documentation.
• Deliver classroom sessions, support on‑the‑job training, manage SME networks, and oversee certification pathways.
• Support HR initiatives such as onboarding, performance management, talent pipelines, and employee relations.
• Lead employee engagement, culture‑building, and recognition programs at the site level.
• Partner with Operations, Maintenance, EHS, HR, and external providers to align development strategies.

Required profile

• Licensed Engineer (EE, ME, ChE, IE, ECE) or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in technical training, L&D, or heavy‑industry operations.
• Proven background in competency management, curriculum design, and training governance.
• Experience in HR generalist functions (onboarding, employee relations, performance management).
• Preferred certifications: Train‑the‑Trainer, Six Sigma, NEBOSH, IOSH or similar safety credentials.
• Willingness to be deployed in Rizal Province.
