Lead Civil Engineer, Land Infrastructure

About the role

Aurecon is seeking a Lead Civil Engineer to join its Land Infrastructure team. You will work on a range of high‑impact projects, from precinct developments and large subdivisions to stormwater, utilities and transport infrastructure, supporting both government and private clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design of precinct developments, subdivisions, transport‑related stormwater and utilities, and site works for energy and Olympic projects.
• Transform analyses and preliminary concepts into detailed designs ready for tender and construction.
• Communicate design intent and progress to internal and external stakeholders through reports and presentations.
• Provide client‑centric service, nurture stakeholder relationships and generate new business opportunities.
• Apply project‑management and people‑leadership skills to deliver financially sound and technically robust outcomes.

Required profile

• Passion for innovative engineering and a commitment to continuous learning.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of design experience in Australia on roads, carparks, earthworks, drainage, utility services and pavement design.
• Strong interpersonal and intercultural communication abilities.
• Proven experience liaising with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with 12D design software.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D.
