Lead Auditor – Finance Department

About the role

The Lead Auditor will conduct financial and operational audits across manufacturing and support functions, ensuring process efficiency, cost optimisation, and accurate financial reporting. This position works within the Finance Department and reports to the Auditor Manager, operating in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in developing the risk‑based annual audit plan and perform pre‑audit risk assessments.
• Define audit scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements; prepare audit programs and work plans.
• Assess efficiency of production, supply chain, procurement, sales, quality, and support functions, identifying inefficiencies and cost leakage.
• Review financial records for accuracy, completeness, and integrity; evaluate internal controls and compliance with policies and accounting standards.
• Execute the full audit lifecycle: planning, fieldwork, reporting, and follow‑up on remediation actions.
• Collaborate with business unit owners, conduct interviews, walkthroughs, and provide advisory support for process improvements.
• Prepare comprehensive audit reports, including issue forms, executive summaries, and actionable recommendations.

Required profile

• Proven experience conducting financial and operational audits.
• Strong understanding of internal controls, risk assessment, and audit standards.
• Ability to analyse data, perform reconciliations, and identify discrepancies.
• Effective communication skills for stakeholder collaboration and report presentation.
