L1 Desktop Support Technician – Flexible Hours

About the role

We are looking for an L1 Desktop Support Technician to provide first‑level technical assistance to end‑users of an Australian office‑products supplier. The role operates on a flexible schedule (Monday‑Friday, 05:00 AM‑02:00 PM PHT) and focuses on hardware, software, and network issues.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑level support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals via phone, email, and Teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and basic networking problems promptly.
• Install, configure, and maintain Windows operating systems and standard applications.
• Log and track incidents in the ticketing system, escalating to Level 2 when needed.
• Perform routine maintenance such as updates, patches, and system upgrades.
• Assist with deployment, retrieval, and inventory management of desktop equipment.
• Create and update documentation and knowledge‑base articles.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with clear communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow up with users to ensure issue resolution.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts.
