Junior SOC Analyst

About the role

The Junior SOC Analyst will serve as the first line of defense in our Security Operations Center, monitoring alerts, triaging incidents, and supporting the overall security posture of the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Continuously monitor security alerts using tools such as Microsoft Defender.
• Identify real‑time threats and anomalies, and conduct initial triage of incidents.
• Escalate complex incidents to senior analysts and coordinate response actions.
• Perform basic threat analysis, vulnerability assessments, and leverage threat‑intelligence feeds.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly security reports and document incident details.
• Assist in configuring, maintaining and optimizing security tools.
• Contribute to SOC process improvements and participate in ongoing training.
• Support security awareness training and help update security policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with the MITRE ATT&CK framework and its tactics, techniques, and procedures.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to subtle system anomalies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn, conduct independent research and take on new challenges.

Required skills

• Microsoft Defender or comparable security monitoring tools.
• MITRE ATT&CK framework knowledge.
• Use of threat‑intelligence feeds.
• General security tool configuration and optimization.
