Junior Auditor (Branch Audit)

About the role

The Junior Auditor will support the Internal Audit Division by reviewing and evaluating the soundness of accounting, financial, and operational controls across bank branches. This role assists the Department Head in achieving audit objectives and ensures that bank assets are properly accounted for and safeguarded.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Department Head in updating audit programs and procedures.
• Conduct and supervise financial and operational audits of bank branches.
• Report progress and findings of ongoing audit examinations.
• Identify non‑compliance issues, recommend improvements, and monitor audit issues on released reports.
• Escalate red‑flag indications to senior audit leadership and coordinate further investigations.
• Review memos, organize working papers, and prepare referral sheets.
• Evaluate internal control systems and summarize audit findings and recommendations.
• Participate in final discussions with auditees regarding exceptions and responses.
• Facilitate coordination between the Internal Audit Division and other bank units.
• Orient and train newly hired auditors and attend professional development activities.
• Assist BSP and external auditors as needed and ensure compliance with bank policies.
• Maintain work area and equipment and perform other duties assigned by the Department Head.

Required profile

• 2 to 3 years of experience in internal or external auditing, special audit, or fraud investigation.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification.
