Jr. DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior DevOps Engineer to join our IT team. You will help build, maintain, and improve our cloud‑based infrastructure while collaborating with developers and operations staff.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and configure operational environments based on approved architecture.
• Deploy, install, test, and automate software and hardware across development, staging, and production.
• Maintain system, network, database, and application performance through monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Implement security controls, access management, firewalls, and authentication mechanisms.
• Conduct scheduled audits, recommend performance and security enhancements, and explore new tools and best practices.
• Participate in project scoping, provide technical guidance, and ensure solution designs meet quality, reliability, and cost standards.

Required profile

• Experience or academic background in systems administration, IT operations, or development.
• Familiarity with AWS architecture and services.
• Hands‑on Linux administration (Debian/Ubuntu or RHEL/CentOS).
• Proficiency with command‑line operations and Bash scripting.
• Database administration experience (MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, MSSQL).
• Version‑control knowledge (Git or SVN).
• Basic understanding of DNS, SDLC, and web development concepts.
• Exposure to PHP, Laravel, CodeIgniter, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and REST/SOAP APIs.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and configuration management tools such as Ansible.
• Willingness to work onsite when required while primarily operating remotely.
