Java Software Developer

About the role

American Express Global Business Travel is seeking a Java Software Developer to design, develop, deploy, and maintain applications that support travel services and business operations. The role focuses on modernizing legacy systems, ensuring cybersecurity compliance, and enhancing system uptime.

Key responsibilities

• Perform complex programming tasks to migrate legacy applications to a Java environment and modify systems for cybersecurity compliance.
• Diagnose, isolate, and resolve software issues, monitor system capacity, and ensure connectivity to vendor APIs.
• Create documentation, architecture diagrams, and adhere to development and security standards.
• Provide Tier 2 technical support and implement disaster recovery procedures.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience with Java frameworks.
• Proficiency in SQL Server, Oracle PL/SQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in the travel industry or with booking systems is a plus.
