Intercompany Accountant – Cebu, Philippines

About the role

The Intercompany Accountant will provide timely, high‑quality accounting services to internal stakeholders, ensuring accurate intercompany transaction processing and reporting. This position supports period‑close activities, balance‑sheet reconciliations, and continuous improvement initiatives within a shared‑service environment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily Intercompany accounting operations and ensure adherence to service‑level agreements.
• Close financial periods on schedule, maintaining completeness and accuracy of reported actuals.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations for Intercompany AR and AP, minimizing open items.
• Monitor, review, and resolve intercompany receivables and payables, coordinating with internal partners.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and ensure timely expense recognition.
• Participate in netting processes and engage with key stakeholders across the shared‑service group.
• Identify and implement process‑improvement opportunities.
• Provide audit support for internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline; CPA preferred.
• 2‑3 years of experience in Intercompany or general accounting, preferably in a shared‑service or BPO setting.
• Strong background in general‑ledger accounting and high‑volume journal entry processing.
• Continuous‑improvement mindset; Lean Six‑Sigma training is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with major ERP systems – Oracle (preferred) and SAP.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and macros.
• Competence in Microsoft Office applications, SharePoint, and web‑based tools.
