About the role

Join the Urban Planning and Local Development department of Grand Chambéry as an Urban Planning Permit Officer. You will be part of a dedicated team of six instructors, supporting the municipality in the application of land use law and the issuance of urban planning authorisations.

Key responsibilities

• Process building, development, demolition permits, prior declarations and operational urban planning certificates.
• Ensure all administrative steps are correctly followed for the issuance of permits.
• Provide expert advice on land use law to municipalities and project promoters.
• Contribute to the evolution of the inter‑communal Local Urban Plan (PLU).
• Support continuous improvement of the public service for land law application.

Required profile

• Minimum Bac+2 level (or equivalent).
• Experience in the application of land use law is preferred.
• Good knowledge of the Urban Planning Code, urban litigation, landscape integration and architectural quality principles.
• Ability to analyse various plans and verify the conformity of permit requests.
• Strong relational skills, pedagogical approach, team spirit, rigor and precision.

Required skills

• Proficiency with land‑law application software.
• Competence in Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
• Familiarity with digital measurement tools.
