Information System Security Engineer

About the role

Atmail is seeking an Information System Security Engineer to join its Cloud Platforms team. The role focuses on bridging security policy with practical implementation, building automated compliance and security tooling for cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop automated compliance checks across infrastructure, applications, and operational processes.
• Build monitoring dashboards and reporting pipelines that deliver real‑time compliance visibility.
• Translate security frameworks and policies into version‑controlled automated test suites.
• Integrate compliance validation into CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure‑as‑code workflows.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to drive continuous‑compliance practices.
• Support customer security audits through automated evidence collection.
• Identify compliance gaps, create remediation actions, and validate fixes.
• Research and recommend emerging compliance automation frameworks and tools.

Required profile

• 5+ years of IT experience with hands‑on security engineering, compliance automation, and monitoring/testing tooling.
• Strong development skills in Python and Bash scripting.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Proficiency in AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks like ISO 27001, SOC 2, and CIS Benchmarks.
• Familiarity with compliance automation platforms (e.g., Drata, Vanta, CloudCheckr).
