Industrial Engineer II – Capacity Planning & Improvement

About the role

STMicroelectronics is seeking an Industrial Engineer II to lead capacity planning, analysis, and continuous improvement across its manufacturing sites. The role focuses on optimizing equipment utilization, supporting investment decisions, and driving output efficiency in a high‑tech semiconductor environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform capacity analysis using CCRP, considering volume mix, package complexity, and machine capability.
• Calculate equipment and tooling requirements, identify excesses or shortages, and propose equipment bagging or shutdown.
• Develop equipment cost allocation, asset transfer proposals, and mid‑term headcount and layout plans.
• Release monthly capacity and saturation assessments, including ramp‑up charts, and suggest improvement activities to reduce capital spend.
• Drive Manufacturing performance through MOOI/CIIB projects, OEE and TUI improvements.
• Monitor weekly equipment delivery status, qualification, and project spending, ensuring timely PR/PO issuance.
• Assess investment alternatives, prepare justifications, and support CAR approvals.
• Support cost‑center creation, equipment inventory allocation, depreciation analysis, and processing time studies.
• Generate monthly BEMT reports, MCRP reports, and capacity charts.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with experience in capacity planning and manufacturing improvement.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with equipment owners, finance, and production teams.
• Excellent communication skills to present data‑driven recommendations.

• Data reporting tools for monthly capacity and saturation reports.
