Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

The Housekeeping Supervisor reports to the Executive Housekeeper and leads the daily operations of the housekeeping department. This role ensures guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house spaces meet the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction while supporting a positive team environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of Room Attendants and Public Area Attendants.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house zones to verify cleanliness and compliance with brand standards.
• Monitor staffing levels, productivity, and work schedules based on occupancy forecasts.
• Lead daily briefings, assign priorities, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to team members.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, SOPs, health and safety regulations, and guest service standards.
• Monitor room status, VIP arrivals, discrepancies, and departures to maintain operational readiness.
• Coordinate with Engineering and other departments to address maintenance concerns promptly.
• Maintain accurate housekeeping records, reports, rosters, and inventory documentation.
• Investigate and report incidents, guest concerns, and service issues, implementing corrective actions.
• Oversee equipment, supplies, and linen inventories, and support emergency response procedures.
• Promote environmental sustainability initiatives and participate in related programs.

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead, guide, and train housekeeping staff.
• Strong organizational skills to supervise daily operations and manage schedules.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to hospitality.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with other departments and handling guest requests.
• Attention to detail for conducting inspections and ensuring brand standards.
